I LUV YOU
I got your back
You got mine,
I'll help you out
Anytime.
To see you hurt
To see you cry,
Makes me weep
And wanna die.
And if you agree
To never fight,
It wouldn't matter
Who's wrong or right.
If a broken heart
Needs a mend,
I'll be right there
To the end.
If your cheeks are wet
From drops of tears,
Don't you worry,
Let go of your fears.
Hand in hand
Love is sent,
We'll be friends
Till the end.

Friends can be cruel*

Some friends come and go
And  some of them die
While you sit there and morne
While you wonder "God why?"

Some of them betray you and make you cry
Some of them stay right by your side
Some of them love you, no matter what
Some of them hurt you, deep down inside

People could have lots of true friends
Some people have one
Many people have two of them
More people have none

I can think of one that wasn't mine
I trusted her with all my heart
Then she turned it around
And ripped it apart

She dated my crush
Rubbed it in my face
Talked about him all the time
And how I could never take her place

One day she told me something
that really made me cry
So i put out my arm and punched her
Gave her a black eye

Now she knows how I really felt
Im not proud of it
Were not friends anymore
And I dont miss her a bit

A heart is not a play thing
A heart is not a toy
But if you want it broken
Just give it to a boy
First he says he loves you
Then he says he's true
And then he see's another girl
And says 'The Heck With You!"

Just another guy*

Why does love hurt so bad
Why does it make you cry
When love doesnt go your way
You feel like you want to die
Why did you do that to me
You dumped me for another girl
Just the thought of you together
Makes me want to hurl
You only knew her for a month
You've known me for nine
Already you've kissed her
I actually thought you were mine
Does she even know the real you
The stupid bastard that you are
The only reason you want her
Is because she will let you get far
Im happy that your gone
Im too good for you
Maybe Ill want you back
When you learn to get a clue
I thought you liked me
I thought you wouldnt make me cry
Then I figured out
YOUR JUST ANOTHER GUY!

Pain*

No one knew the pain I had
They only knew the person I was trying to be
I didn't think I could hurt so bad
Could I make this go away? maybe

I thought and I thought
But I just couldnt find
Anyway to get
This out of  my mind

Then something gave me an idea
I headed to the room and opened the drawer
I took it out
There was a bang on the door

"Go away" I screamed
And put it to my head
I pulled the trigger
Then I was dead

Now the pain is gone
I can live free
I am with God
He is with me

*Near to the door*
*he paused to stand*
*as he took his class ring*
*off her hand*
*all who were watching*
*did not speak*
*as a silent tear*
*ran down his cheek*
*and through his mind*
*the memories ran*
*of the moments they walked*
*and ran in the sand hand and hand*
*but now her eyes were so terribly cold*
*for he would never again*
*have her to hold*
*they watched in silence*
*as he bent near*
*and whispered the words..*
*"I LOVE YOU" in her ear*
*he touched her face and started to cry*
*as he put on his ring and wanted to die*
*and just then the wind began to blow*
*as they lowered her casket*
*into the snow....*
*this is what happens*
*to man alive.....*
*when friends let friends....*
*drink and drive.*

Those poor little children*

Childrens lives lay in the hands of men
Beaten, bruised until the end
Lives are ruined, spirits broken
Fear in their eyes, though words not spoken

Children here are full of hate
And surrounded by a metal gate
They cant get out, even if they tried
But when the do, some of them die

Child labour is at its worst
So stop it now before their all in a hearse
How much longer must this go on
Before we can get child labour gone?

People there dont realize
How many children hurt from all their lies
They would be safe, one man said
Instead their beaten, instead their dead

Freedom is what these children need
They dont need to hurt, or even bleed
But who will stop their excruciating pain
You and me, after all, were all the same

Perfect Days*

Those perfect days
We once knew
Have now shredded to peices
And came unglued

The skies have darkend
The moon has fell
What once was heaven
Now is Hell

Mothers are screaming
For their children's lives
What a horrible day
A scary surprise

All I can do
Is sit and cry
Did so many families
Have to die?

But the smoke will clear
The skies turn blue
To those perfect days
We once knew

The dogs are barking
As a child plays
What a wonderful sound
These perfect days.....

What you do to me*

I know I shouldnt love you
But yet I still cant find
A way to get your voice
Out of my mind

I cant even tell you
How deeply im in
If you were in the Bible
You'd be the deadly sin

Now matter how hard I try
I cant stop thinking about you
I really dont know
What im going to do

You told me you loved me
And then you broke my heart
You fufilled my life beyond its worth
Then ripped it apart

You hurt me and lied to me
And made me cry
If I dont have you back
I might just die

The only thing I see
When I close my eyes
Is your lovely face
Always a great surprise

My friends say im crazy
They think I should let go
But I just love you
Way too much, you know

When you see me again
I may still love you
But untill then
I'll just dream about you

A hug*

A hug can heal a broken heart

Or say that I love you
A hug can brighten up a day

When all just seems blue

A hug can say what words cant

And kiss the pain away

A hug can lead you back
When you seemed to have drawn astray

A hug isnt expensive

You wont have to pay a dime

Just open up your arms and give a hug

If you have the time

A hug isnt made for just anyone

Its made for someone who cares

Its made for when you need someone

To share with all your prayers

A hug doesnt need batteries

Or little special parts

All it needs is a smile

And a great big heart

So when I give you a hug
You know I really care
And you know I REALLY care

When I hug you like a bear

When you feel you need a hug

Or when you feel blue

Just hug this little teddy bear

And Ill be hugging you!

A Man Forgotten*

Sitting on the street

People strolling by

With freezing feet
He starts to cry

His hands start to shake

His fingers turn blue

Trying to stay awake
Begs for something to chew

Hes getting weak

He lays on the cold cement
He tries to speak

In his cup, one single cent

People pass him by
Too busy to see
The man staring into the sky

A silent plea

It starts to rain
The crowd goes inside
The man frozen in pain

Eyes open wide

Three hours he laid
In the freezing cold

There he prayed

For someone to hold

The rain stops

The crowd appears

The mans cup drops
Theres no more tears
There he lay
On that last rainy night
His hair long and gray
His face cold and white
His one last breath
Taken with a fight
On the crowded street
A man died that night.

A Daughter's Love*

I once knew a man

Who needed a friend

His child was afraid

His life would end

This man was troubled

Some would say
All he needed
Was someone who would pray

I once saw a man

Drunk, lonely and cold

He will get better

I was often told

This man was loved

He may not have known

But through small things
It was often shown

I once heard about a man

With a gun to his head

He sat on his couch

Wishing he were dead

This man was confused

He needed a guide

The help he needed
Was often denied

I once witnessed a man

Who got the help he needed

With the help of others
This man succeeded

This man was recovering
His family was proud
Never again he would drink
He solemnly vowed

I now know a man

Who loves his daughter
Who is this man?
This man is my father

Unconditional Love*

By Courtney Barrett

Daddy, Youre my hero

I love you more than youll ever know

Daddy, Youre my hero

Just thought Id let you know

You overcame your weakness

Youve taught me how to be strong

You always believe in me
Even when I do something wrong

Daddy, Im sorry if Ive hurt you

Or ever made you sad
Im sorry if I disappointed you
I dont want to see you mad

You know Ill always love you

No matter what comes our way

You know Ill always need you

Even if I tell you Im Ok

Daddy, I miss having you close

I wish you were still here

Even though youre a phone call away

I might still shed a tear

I love having you in my life

Whenever I need a friend

I know youll always be there

On you, I can always depend

Daddy, Youre my hero
Youll always see me through

Daddy, Youre my hero

And Ill always look up to you
